| Bard's 59 rebounds to Yeshiva's 35 was the difference as Bard Women's Basketball team beat the Macabees 74 - 55. Freshman Latiqua Williams and Senior Elyse Rivas were too strong inside for Yeshiva to handle as they pulled down a combined 27 rebounds and put up 44 points. Bard pulled away in the second half with sterling efforts from Freshman Blair Mouldenhaur (10 points, 7 assists) and Junior Amy Engelson (12 points). Coach Jennifer Watson said of the win, "I am very proud of the unselfish play tonight. We had fast breaks and players were passing to open teammates instead of taking the shot themselves. Our team play is our biggest asset. In fact, we had 7 players score and 4 players in double figures." Bard plays its first away game this season with a trip to Troy, NY to play Russell Sage on Tuesday at 7pm. |
