THERE IS LIFE AFTER BRENNAN, LOCUST VALLEY ROLLS PDF Print E-mail

Locust Valley's Ashley Lewis dropped her first three shots, as the Falcons opened a 9 - 2 lead. Oyster Bay would go six minutes wthout scoring as Locust Valley's lead eventually grew to 17 - 4. Oyster Bay's new coach Dan Stein would settled his team down in the second quarter as they basically played Locust Valley even. Despite their efforts Oyster Bay still trailed 27 - 15 at half time. The second half started out with both teams exchanging baskets. Oyster Bay's defense would tighten and you kept waiting for a run by the Lady Baymen. Despite their effort, Oyster Bay was only able to close to within 9 poinsts as the 3rd quarter eneded. Both teams would struggle to score in the 4th quarter. Locust Valley finally got on the board with 3:46 to go, while Oyster Bay would not score until the 1:05 mark. For Locust Valley, look for the Petrucci sister's (Meagan and Nicole) along with inside players Allison Herschlein and Isabelle Pagliaccio to pick up the scoring void left behind by Brennan's graduation. Oyster Bay will look to Keri Biogiovanni, Isabelle Mirman and Kate Applequist to carry most of the load this upcoming season.
