Lindenhurst Falls to Sayville's Pressure |

Led by Jamine DePompeo and Shannon Lieb, Sayville pressured Lindenhurst to open the second quarter. Lindenhurst would be outscored 10 - 0 to close out the half. As the second half opened, Sayville led 28 - 12. Sayville would go on another 10 - 0 run to expand their lead to 22 points. Lindenhurst would outscore Sayville 7 - 2 to end the third quarter. Both coaches cleared their benches for the 4th quarter. Lindenhurst looked nothing like the team that defeated Amtyville in their season opener, they never displayed the energy level that I witnessed in that game. Sayville defensive pressure forced Lindenhurst into numerous turnovers. Sayville 14 - 14 - 14 -5 - 47, Lindenhurst 8 - 4 - 11 - 9 - 32.
