SEAFORD OVERWHELMS SEWANHAKA PDF Print E-mail
Dec. 21st. - Friday: Seaford 22 - 34 - 40 - 51, Sewanhaka 4 - 6  - 12 - 18. This game got away from Sewanhaka right the start. With scoring from 7 different players in the first half, Seaford grabbed the early lead and never looked back. Deanna Miller scored 12 of her game high 14 points in the first half. Teammate Kim Cardenas added 11 points, with 9 points coming from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Sewanhaka struggled at both ends of the court. With Seaford substituting freely, Sewanhaka was able to compete in the second half but never threatened. Looking at the seven games played to date by Sewanhaka, Angie Platia has been the most consistent player. Sewanhaka's Tianna Robbins is going to have to stayed focused and provide Platia with another option, especially against stronger opponents. Seaford is off to another good start, similar to last season. After watching them last night, have to wonder how Seaford struggled against East Rockaway to score only 27 points. Seaford has a solid 9 players that has to avoid a collapse like the second half of last season.
