Ciardulli, Capone Carry Purchase
Duo Combines for 38
Purchase, NY. (Jan. 16, 2008) — Purchase’s Jen Ciardulli and Amanda Capone shot the lights out of the gym, propelling the Panthers to a 79-54 lead over visiting Old Westbury Wednesday night.
Ciardulli (JR/Centereach, NY) totaled a team-high 20 on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor. She also grabbed seven rebounds, swiped two steals and dished out two assists in the win. Capone (FR/Southold, NY) added 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting, including four 3-pointers. Jessie Domes (SO/Glenwood, NY) chipped in 14 and a team-high six assists.

The Panthers had a commanding 46-25 lead at the break and out shot Old Westbury 37.8 to 25.4 percent from the floor for the game. Purchase improves to 8-6 overall and 5-2 in the Skyline Conference.
Old Westbury was paced by Pamela Robinson, who finished with a game-high 26 points. However, no other Panther finished in double digits in scoring as the Purchase clamped down on Old Westbury. Purchase returns to action Saturday on the road against St. Joseph’s – Patchogue
