Friday nights matchup between MacArthur and Syosset should be called the Deja Vu game. It seems like just yesterday that I watched the same teams play last years play-offs. Not only were the opponents the same but this years game was almost identical to last year. Once again Syosset's guards  Christine Banos and Connie Simmons outclassed MacArthur's, while Cara Savarese dominated inside. Sittting amongst MacArthurs parents, I heard the same complaints about the coaching staff as last year. They continuously questioned her rotation of players, defense and lack of confidence in certain players. Some of MacArthur's problems are their inability to box out and get back on defense as Syosset looked to push the ball up the court all game. As the game wore on MacArthur's players were hesitant to shoot at times, perhaps in fear of being pulled. As for Syosset, they must continue to get the same production from Simmons, Banos and Savarese. They still have to do a better job of working together and they must tighten up the middle of their zone defense. Syosset will win early in play-offs but not sure they have enough to get to final four.
