For Saturday's first game I journey out to catch Rocky Point @ Sayville. Two questions stand out after watching the game - What happened? and What was that all about? Rocky Point led by Hope Heiselman jumped out to an early lead and then watched it slowly disappear as Sayville battled back to take a 28 - 24 halftime lead. Sat with Guestt, man can he talk. Sayville, playing their 5th straight game wthout Jasmine DePompeo, was led by Shanon Lieb and Kristen Chandler. Rocky Point came unraveled in the 3rd quarter, as they were held to 2 points. Meanwhile, Sayville scored 24 points to grab a 26 point lead. Emily Paul led  the scoring barrage. Here is where I have to question what was that all about as Sayville continued to press and appeared to be making some kind of point to the Rocky Point coach or maybe message was being directed to Sayville parents. Sayville pressed  into the 4th quarter, even keeping starters in game. Some positive notes for Sayville is that are in a position to qualify for play-offs and are playing much better than when I saw them earlier in season. Chandler was the sparkplug that got Sayville rolling while Paul showed good court awareness running the point.
